Beef Bavette Steak is also known as Flank Steak, Flap Steak or Skirt steak. Beef Bavette Steak is a new term but it’s not a new steak & is great £value. The meat grain is coarse and its very lean but also tender. Cook really quickly on a searingly hot grill and serve rare to enjoy at its best. A thinner cut which doesn’t need as much resting. The Parisian classic ‘Steak Frites’ traditionally would have been served with Bavette steak. Please see our recipe section below on ‘How to Cook the Perfect Steak’ and also the Farms where our Beef is from this week What Else Could I Use? If you like your steak with lots of flavour, you could also choose a flat iron steak, or try a rib-eye.
