Nigel Tope - Yonder Park Farm, Blackawton, Dartmouth.

Nigel breeds Large White pigs taken on from his farming techniques and principles are inherited from his Father Nolan Tope. Nigel grew up on the neighbouring Long Acre Farm where his Dad started farming in 1957 and has lived there since. Yonder Park farm is next door in the Blackawtion area between Totnes & Dartmouth

The Pigs are farmed traditionally and fed in a rather unique way. Yonder Park Farm is a close neighbour of the farm which produces the famous branded Ticklemore Cheese – the award winning West Country cheese manufacturer - Nigel uses the whey produced from by Ticklemore cheese to feed and fatten his pigs. The pigs love it and the resulting meat has a distinctive and delicious flavour and texture.
