Gribble’s Butchers are based in the heart of Ivybridge, in Fore Street, and have both a Butchers and Deli. As a business they are very proactive in promoting Ivybridge town centre and have recently had a campaign on local bus shelters to promote the use of the town centre.
As a member of the Ivybridge Chamber of Commerce, business owner Mark Gribble was involved in helping produce the recent town centre guide which was brought about as an easy-to-use booklet in order to market and promote what is in our town centre to our own town’s people – the residents of Ivybridge.
Mark states, ‘Devon town centres have been hit hard by the onset of the recession and competition from out of town sites. It is my strong belief that whilst we have a right to voice an opinion, we cannot concentrate & worry about what is beyond our control. We must concentrate on what we do, and in doing so I feel as businesses we have to be inventive and lead the market in terms of moving forward rather than focussing on any negative aspects over which we have no control.’
